Scott J. Kadien

Scott Kadien is an accomplished trial attorney with extensive experience on both sides of the courtroom, having tried dozens of jury trials as both a defense attorney and a prosecutor. He has successfully handled cases ranging from DWI to capital murder. His trial experience, combined with 23 years of service as a police officer, uniquely qualifies him to defend individuals charged with any type of crime in Arkansas.

Scott has spent his entire career in the criminal justice system. During his law enforcement career, he completed numerous specialized training courses that enhance his ability to defend clients, including certifications as a DWI standardized field sobriety test instructor, homicide investigation, sexual crimes investigation, and forensic interviewer (see further list of trainings below). He also served for 12 years as an adjunct instructor within the State University of New York system, teaching Criminal Justice.

For several years, Scott maintained a law practice in New York State, where he focused on family law and related matters. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients in all phases of divorce, custody, visitation, and child support proceedings. Scott holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University and a Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and Arkansas.

John R. Sydow

John is a fourth generation Arkansan that loves hunting, fishing, and most of all, the Arkansas Razorbacks. After graduating from the University of Arkansas in May of 2016, John decided to pursue his dream of becoming an attorney and enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock- Bowen School of Law. During his time in law school, John got his first taste in criminal defense while interning at the Pulaski County Public Defender’s Office. John received his J.D. in the Spring of 2019 and was licensed to practice law in the State of Arkansas that September. Since his admission to the bar, John has gained a wide range of experience in many areas of law including: domestic relations, civil practice, and probate. Since day one, John realized that his true passion lies in criminal defense and has focused his time on defending the rights of the accused. John is an experienced trial attorney having represented clients charged with a wide variety of crimes ranging from Capital Murder to misdemeanors. John has the knowledge, skill, and drive to fight for every client, no matter how serious or difficult the obstacles they are facing.
